Cathy Templeman lives with her husband and pup on top of a big hill in Hillsville, Virginia. She is one of a pair, being an identical twin, whom to her delight lives next door. She has proudly dedicated most of her adult life to raising three amazing children, and now she has the privilege of spoiling three incredible grandchildren. Nurturing young people and their imaginations is second nature to Cathy and has granted her the ability to easily channel her inner child, which inspires the whimsical nature of her mixed media art.
She is originally from Norfolk, Virginia and has lived in many cities and states over the years. As a child growing up her family moved quite a bit, and back then the school system required twins to be separated. When she looks back on those years, she sees her separation from her twin sister and immense shyness drove her to seek refuge in art. She would sit alone, under a huge oak tree during recess and create little friends out of acorns. Her hope is that through her art others will recall their child within and be reminded of God's love for them, reflected in the simplest of things.
